Wow A community for Madurai

Before event
I got a whatsapp message message from Prasanth give a dull information about about the community startup!i kept it aside for a minute or so then suddenly i took it read the message again it said the MOZMadurai is up!
i felt like OMG something blogged in my head How could it be?who started it?
where and when?............................
He said a Student like us is starting it with Mr.Senthil help (who was known to me through Google developer group)

My Part
Most of my part was listening and sometimes i discussed about the things i knew about Firefox vs Chrome and some facts about Reverse Engineering and few minute speech about how we are benefited by helping open source and some income tips through it.

Me :What about this weekend since we don't have a place, we can have it in our home what do you say?

Since they know about the Mozilla we moved on to the Build Box straight away which lasted for 2 hours and then we were discussing about the web and virus and we played few videos which was created by Firefox that it all,and yeah i nearly forgot to mention we had game with HTML5.

About Windows 10
As a final touch we updated a windows 8 system to windows 10 and was felt a really varied UI and all was new.while we started experiencing a fall back with MICROSOFT EDGE and we tired installing Firefox that's when some youtube videos came in Handy

Those words were not that true indeed i noticed some flaws like slower webpage (Very few pages i think it may be due to cache problem)loading when compared with Firefox and chrome.I referred few blogs around the topic and i found that i am not the only one who is facing this problem.

- A reasonable way to set the default search engine
- The ability to set multiple home pages in different tabs
- File drag and drop(It is the thing i cannot digest) a worthwhile favorites/bookmark manager.

DOT -Here my journey begins
This is not my first speech but it is my first speech as FSA. Myself ,Prassana Vijayan, Prasanth, Kavya , We all together are a Firefox family and our origin is in Tamilnadu. When i started discussing about this event it was like imagination. we thought it would happen by some miracle , because we have already given speech in part of the sessions but not as a whole.Prassana Vijayan bro is an exception because he was in it. Here the DOT event goes like...
DOT - It is not the end.. it is the beginning of the new era
Before Event
This is something really funny... i just read something related to Firefox about conduct events when i shared this information to Kavya (Who become a FSA a week after me) She immediately said lets play a event i thought it was a joke but its not one. She took the initiative of arrange a seminar hall food ,water and things required .
Regarding the Event
The event consists of three parts
1)Indroduction to Mozilla and Firefox - Which was good speech given by Prasanth
2)Build box - A GUI based game creating tool which was explained and given with a short demo
3)Github - This very session was taken by Prassana Brother
My Part
I started my session about what is FSA and Build box .then i taught them to make use of the tool to build their own game upto the monetizing part. It was a rather a quick session on how to create a game.I made some goodies on my own which i distributed to them.
WE HAD 28 PARTICIPANTS.
Outcome of this program
This program revealed a web lover who wants to learn web development and contribute to it,myself and Prassana Vijayan gave him a Start of the web in the break time we had for lunch.
after this event i got few calls from the students who wanted Build Box utilization part again which i cover in the following blog.
After Event
we retreated at the nearby cafe and left for home after really seeing the people enjoying their part in the event.
